Looking for a great wine

I want to buy my boyfriend a really nice wine for our two year anniversary, however, I know nothing about wines. Does anyone have a favorite they would like to share? He enjoys white wines with a light taste, beyond that, I'm not really sure, and I want it to be a surprise. Cost is not a problem, I am willing to spend quite a bit.
