I have several recipes using Calvados-I would like to make these dishes, but I can't find Calvados in our area or anyone who knowes what is is. HELP

Welcome to the board, Edna. Calvados is a brandy made from distilled apple cider in Normandy, France. Look for it in the liquor stores in your area, among the brandies and liquers. You might see it labeled Eau de Vie.

What a coincidence. I just got a bottle of Calvados this past weekend to replace the empty in the liquor cabinet. We use it to make a Normandy style fondue, among other dishes.
