I was out to dinner with my wife at the Chart House a couple weeks back. I had a merlot with "Baron" and "Rothschild" in the name. Can't exactly remember what it was, but was wondering if anyone knew about it - specifically the name. Thanks!

Hi DPB, and welcome to the Wine Board. You are probably looking for 2002 Baron Philippe de Rothschild Merlot. It runs around $7-$8 per bottle. Don't know where you live, but you can get it from Pop's Wine at http://www.popswine.com/ Otherwise, go to www.wine-searcher.com/

Good deal. I guess I am pretty surprised by the price per bottle - they were charging six dollars a glass! Of course, that's how nice restaurants tend to be. I'm in California by the way. Thanks for the reply.

If you're in CA you can order from Pops, if you can't find it out there. They are pretty good about shipping and handling. If you do, do it before it gets too hot country wide.
