Looking for wine that will age well for use later

I am looking to buy 1999 wine for our infant son. We want a bottle to use when he bar Mitzvahs and a bottle for his wedding so they need to be able to age up to 25 years and still be good. Please help!

We ALL are looking for such wines. Unfortunately, as stated many times before, it is a crap shoot, especially for the 1999 vintage. France did not have an exceptional vintage, CA was mixed, Port (?), but WA State had a pretty good vintage. Some top wines from WA may go the distance, but no guarantees for sure.

I agree with Bucko about the still wines. & If you do go with port, just keep in mind: Buy a vintage port (am guessing they will make the last year of the 20th cen. a vintage year.) not an aged port, as aged ports (10yr, 20yr...) tend to be sold ready to drink. &&& What about a nice "Ice Wine"? Liquid gold from Germany or from Canada...., it should easily make 25 years. (Be sure to buy the real thing.) Bonus: His bride will surely be "glad" you thought of her all those years ago!!! Grrr!!!
PS: Am glad to hear from Bucko that 99' should be a good year for many here in Washington, because of my obsession (and trip) of French and German wines I missed crush and I've not listened much to what's going on in our neighborhood. (I need to get back on the home track!)
