Hot date this sunday (09/09/01) What should I buy?(and why) Caymus, Opus one, or Cakebread? Also I've heard a lot of good things about Lewis (cab) Is it worth going out of my way for?

P.S. Wish me luck. I think she's the one!!

If you are serving a standing rib roast, then any one of the ones you named should be just fine.......

However, if you are serving hamburgers or rack of lamb or venison, then you might want to go for something else......

Good luck!

Hi LATJ33. Pretty impressive lineup you're looking at.You didn't post the vintages on any of these but I'm assuming they are all current vintages. 98 on all but the Opus which is probably a 97. If that's the case and you REALLY wanna' score I'd go with the Opus. All three of the others need some time to soften, plus even if she isn't knowledgeable, when she recites the wine of the evening someone will say OPUS!!!!!Good Luck and have a fun evening. WW
