Yes you can tell at this point that I'm a novice when it comes to tasting wines, today I purchased Montecillo and wanted to know if anyone could give me some feedback on this wine, or if you needed more info just post and I would love to give more information on it.

Hi Danneon, and welcome to the Wine Board. If you are talking about Monticello Chianti, I consider it a very enjoyable everyday drinker. Although it's enjoyable by itself, it is even better with pizza, pasta dishes, spicey foods, and breaded & fried appetizers. Monticello also makes a Chianti Classico Riserva that is fuller bodied than their regular chianti. Whichever one you happen to have, I hope you enjoy it!

If it is a Chiante, well somehow, Chiantis seem a great starting point for red wines, so enjoy =D.
