Hello. I am new at wine appreciation. Recently while cleaning out my cousins cluttered garage, I came across 4 bottles of the following German wine labeled as follows:
RHEINHESSEN 1979 Wefthofener Bergflofter Silvaner Spatlefe
other markings: SICHEL, Erzeugerabfullung Heinz F. Eller, Westhofen.

Does this wine have value? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jchrise, and welcome to the Wine Board. Your wine started out OK, though a Reisling Spatlese would have preferable to the Sylvaner. However, after ten or fifteen years (or even sooner) the wine died. Always the optimist, would recommend chilling one down, and pulling the plug. Maybe Mother Nature was kind, but probably not.
