1995 Solaia

Has anyone tried this wine? Any suggestions on how long to decant it? Thanks!

Hi ALK, and welcome to the board. Perhaps this question is best answered under Italian wines, but I'll go ahead here.

I've never had the 1995 Solaia, but I just had a bottle of the 1990 a couple nights ago (I posted my remarks under the Italian wines thread). The 1990 was still quite youthful, and a couple of hours would have done it good. (It was decanted just 45 minutes to an hour before we started drinking it.) Based on that, I'd suggest at least a couple hours for the 1995, or better yet, I'd sit on it for a few more years, though the temptation makes it tough!
