Going through some old stuff my dad found a bottle of "Rutherford Hill Cabernet Sauvignon" from Napa Valley the bottle is dated 1983...is it safe to drink? is it valuable? or is it trash? I won't let him open it because I'm a fraid it will taste bad...any help would be great!

Hi Sandy and welcome to the board. The wine is long-dead and has no value. Sorry. WW

Bad year + volume producer of ready to drink wines = dead soldier. I agree that you should open it and confirm but, the line is bigger thaan the Cardinals winning the Super Bowl next year. WW
