A friend of mine wants to know and I have no idea whats o ever and he alwaysa counted on me to know everything about wines, wouldn't wanna dissapoint him..

Hi IWL, and welcome to the Wine Board. The primary grape in Chianti is sangiovese, but it is always a blend also containing any of a number of other grapes in it.
