Welcome to the wine board. One of our regular experts on California wines is traveling right now. I am not familiar with Lodi wines but did read of a gold medal winner at the California State Fair wine competition that was sourced mainly from Lodi grapes: Delicato Family Vineyards 2001 Shiraz California. This website mentions other wineries in the area: http://www.lodi.net/index.html enter directory and search under "wines"
Robert Mondavi's Woodbridge Winery is the big one; also listed, Canandaigua which bought up Sebastiani's holdings in Lodi, and Peirano Estates, a smaller family-type winery.

Hi agin' WC. WOW has run the major players by. Delicato has a beautiful tasting room rite off hiway 99 just before you get into Stockton. Nice people who've really up-graded their product in the last three years. WW

The Jewel Petite Sirah is incredibly complex and luxurious for the $10 price tag.

There are several wineries that are making some nice Zins from the local fruit. Jessie's Grove and Spenker are two of the best we've had. St. Amant also makes some very nice wines, but they have a few ports that are very, very good - about the best I've tasted from CA.
