Wine Recommendation

Hello - I desperately need help !!! I am giving a bottle of wine to my Doctor as a gift. I was told by his secretary that he "knows" his wine, but she didn't know if he likes red, white, etc. I am looking to spend about $25-$30. I would appreciate any suggestions !!! Thank You.

Call his office, get the nurse or staff member that stated,"He knows his wine" and ask him/he(I'am a male R.N.,so I won't be sexist) to find out what wine shop the good Doctor visits. Have the staff kinda act like they wanta bottle for a special dinner. The Doctor, if he is really into wine, would be overly helpful and suggest a specific wine or recommend a certian shop helper at his favorite supplier. Either way, you have a referrence for the Doctor's fav's
