Hi All,

I'm new to this forum, and interested to know about wines and any good store in CT or may be online.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Stacyc and welcome to the board. This board has just the info you need. Go to whatever thread has type of grape you're interested in, click on and put the days to 100 and click go. You'll get tasting notes and ratings on hundreds of interesting wines. If price is a big issue with you go to the Good Deals/Steals thread. Wines from every country and grape type are reviewed somewhere here. WW

Tastings at a good store are a wonderful way to experiment with various wines. Here is one right down the road from you that we have stopped at and has on-line ordering as well: http://www.nicholasrobertsltd.com/

Welcome, Stacey. Have you tried any wines you particularly liked? If, for example, you have enjoyed Zinfandel or Merlot in the past or maybe Riesling, you can check out those subject areas on the forum for other brands to try.

Hi Wonder!

Thanks for the reply. I recently tried one Southafrican wine (Brampton Shiraz 2003)and I kinda liked it. I bought it from www.grapeswine.com. They got a very good collection on Southafrican wine. Could you plese suggest a good southafrican one to go with sirloin-steak?
Thanks in advance.

Cheers!
Stacey

A nice South African Cab to go with those sirloins is the Excelsior at about $10. You should be able to find it just about anywhere, except maybe around Sacramento.
