I have a friend who really likes White Zinfadel. It's not my choice so I'm not too knowledgeable about this variety, but I would like to get her a bottle for XMAS and was looking for a recommendation for a really nice White Zin?

Thanks, List!
Donna

WWL, I'm not knowledgeable about white zin either, but my sister in law loves it and raves about the CK Mondavi White Zin as being much better than others. If your friend likes sweet wines, have you considered an expansion of her wine tasting to perhaps a late harvest riesling?

What I usually get for the few who come here and won't drink anything else is Buehler White Zinfandel. I get it, because if they don't drink it, I can stand to drink it myself.

Buehler is the one I like the best, too. Unfortunately it's hard to find around here.

Beringer seems to be the best of the lot of those we carry.

I liked the Beringer when I tried it with lunch in a restaurant one time. Haven't tried the Buehler but trust IK's taste. Haven't seen the CK Mondavi around here either but I may have tried it at the Nantucket Wine Festival a couple years ago.

As I was downing an Illuminati, Campirosa, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Cerasuolo with my sauteed ham steak and spinach last night, I thought, "Why go out and beat the bushes for a Buehler White Zin, when I've more of these in the basement?" So, if the need arises, I'll decant one, and say, "Here." Better than they deserve!
