I have a few bottles of 97 Turning Leaf Vintner Reserve Zins, '97 Camelot Merlots, '97 Clos Du Bois Zins, '95 Amberhill Cab, '97 Amberhill Merlot, '97 Kendal Jackson Vint Res. Pinot & Zin that I bought on sale. I thought I'd keep them til 2007 and give them as gifts. Good or bad idea?

Hi Poysinivi, and welcome to the Wine Board. About 99% of all wine that is released are ready to comsume and have little or no aging potential. All those you have listed fall into that category. They all should be consumed as soon as possible, and some may already be over the hill. None will be any they are now in '07, and most will be much worse.
