I have three questions if I may....
Normally I am not into wines very much, but while I was stationed (military) in California I was treated to a bottle of Talbott Chardonay (Cuvee Cynthia) which was like nothing I have ever had before. Very complex, yet very, very good. Now I am living in Florida and can not find Talbott anywhere.
(1) Does anyone know if I can order some online?
(2) Is there any Chardonay that is similar?
(2) The Talbott had sediment on the bottom of the bottle, but I was told that it is normal for the "Cuvee Cynthia" since it was unfiltered. Any comments on filtered vice unfiltered.

Hi Serengeti, and welcome to the Wine Board. I agree with you 100%. That was the only American Chardonnay I've ever had that really set off bells and whistles. Unforturately, mother frowned mightily at the $45 pricetag.

If you go to your local wine shop, the manager should be able to order some from the distributor, which is probably Souther Wine & Spirits. Failing that, you can ask them yourself through their web site - www.talbottvineyards.com.

Thanks for the info although the Talbott web site does not have an ordering option. Yes, $45 is a bit high but it is only for special situations. Yet, it is nice to get those "bells and whistles" every once in a while.
Any comments about filtered vice unfiltered?

Strictly a winemaker's option. Have enjoyed wines made both ways, and am neutral on the subject.

The suggestion to check the web site was to get their email so you can ask them who the distributor for their wine is in your area. Then you can ask your wine shop to have the wine brought to the shop by the distributor.

Check out B-21 Wines and Liquors in Tarpon Springs.

That's a haul from Panama City, but they have a heck of a selection of wines. They are accessible from the internet, so you might want to browse their site before you try to visit.

Give them a call and see if they can help you with your wine wish list!!!
