I really enjoy chardonnay, and I have also tasted pinot grigio (which reminded me of a weak chardonnay), and I have tried sauvegnon blanc, but find it too acidic.

My digestive system tends towards acid, and I sometimes get a number of interesting and uncomfortable maladies, like severe acid reflux, sore spots on the edges of my toungue and inside my cheeks, etc.

Can anyone suggest any remedy, other than taking Raninidine (Zantac 75/150) or just not drinking wine for a few days? I already do those two. Also, any suggestions on other white wines I should try?

I think Sauvignon Blanc is the right grape for you, but there are many different styles available. Suggest you try more labels of that varietal. To my taste, the Sancerres made from Sauvignon Blanc in the Loire Valley of France are the most palatable.

I'm going to suggest that you go in the complete opposite direction.

Gewurtztraminer from Germany

Viognier, Marsanne and Rousanne from the Rhone -blended they are wonderful.

Moschofilero from Greece

All are wonderful wines with much lower acid than Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc.

Let us know if it helps. There are over 300 grapes in the world...I'm sure we can find a few that you can tolerate!

My dh gets the same problem. Prilosec works much better, even the OTC kind. Try switching over to that first. Give it a week or two, and then let me know how it's doing.

Thanks cg and others who responded. I will try some of those wines and Prilosec.

I take a Prilosec daily and usually don't have a problem.
