Does anyone know of any specific wineries, or at least regions, in the US whose grapes are grown around or near bodies of fresh water?

Hi Cen2, and welcome to the Wine Board. Is this a trick question? Walk outside and look around.

Did you want this very, very, very, very, long list of wineries by region or just alphabetical? What gives?

Well, right off the bat, you have a slew of wineries in your own back yard. There are all those wineries around Keuka Lake and Seneca Lake. Is that what you're looking for - specifically other wineries that are similarly situated?

Sometimes I think people play jokes on us on this board. But then, I have met people in the Finger Lakes region who lived their all their lives and were unaware of the local wine industry.

I promise I wasn't playing a joke. I'm just an ass, and I never even thought about the fact that the Finger Lakes were filled by melting glaciers and rain- salt free. Thanks for your help.
