hello everyone,

I am in need of some help. My friends just got married and they enjoy wines. I wanted to get them a couple bottles of wine. One very nice one. Any recomendations? The second bottle is the tougher one to find. I know that wines are dated by year. My question is do they date the bottles by specific dates because i wanted to get one that was bottled on their wedding date. if not i'll settle for just the year. I need suggestions on the first bottle and a miracle on the second bottle. Please give any information that i may need. Thanks to all.

Hi M, and welcome to the Wine Board. The second question is easier than the first. Not knowing what kind of wine your friends enjoy means we a shooting in the dark. So here comes the shot. For wine #1 get a nice Champagne. For wine #2 get a 2003 New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. They are about the only '03s out right now.
