My mom is making a pot of Chili tonight and I wonder what type of wine would go with that.

Any robust red would probably do OK, such as Southern Rhone/Languedoc, Spanish Rioja, or New World Syrah. But I'd probably grab a beer or three, my preference being Dos Equis Amber.

We are having our chile burgers tonight, and having our usual zin with it. Red zin, big zin, chile crushing zin. Zin, zin, zin.

This chili isn't a regular chili, it is more of a tomato soup type chili. With noodles, meat, celery and tomato juice and different types of beans.

OK, go with a lighter red zin, e.g. Ravenswood Vinters Blend.

I ran across the street and bought a bottle. I have had the rancho zabacho? zinfandel already and it was good. I guess a 99 Ravenswood Vintners Blend is okay? Thanks again.
