Vintage Sherry Value

I was just given a bottle of 1929 Marques De Misa, Golden Cream Sherry. The foil on the bottle has some peeling but otherwise is in very good condition. Can anyone tell me if this sherry has any value?

Hello Dloman. I know nothing about '1929 Marques De Misa' sherry, but I would guess it's a brand name. If it is from Spain (the label should give a clue,) the '1929' will have no significance with regard to age because true sherry does not come in single vintages; it is a blend of many. I say true because what I call imitation sherry is made in other countries, including here in the U.K.. However, we are not allowed to call it sherry. Value? Goodness knows! It could have been bottled recently or long ago, the contents may or may not be drinkable depending on when it was bottled and/or how it’s been kept since, if the company has long gone there may be a collector out there just longing for your bottle. I'd wait a few days to see what other board members have to say, then if nothing positive transpires I would chill it and try it (but if it's cloudy bin it). T
