I am strictly a white wine drinker, but like to have some other choices for my guests. Can I please get some recommendations on what else I should have on hand? Right now, I have a Cabernet Savignon and a Merlot, and the ever popular White Zin (in addition to a zillion bottles and varieties of white). What else should I get for reds? Nothing over $10, please.

Thanks,
WWL

Try the reds from Bogle and Cline. Both are superior and hover around the proper price point. WW

Thank you, WW. Any particular variety of reds? Is that a brand name you mentioned? Remember, I am a novice...

Cline makes only Zinfandels, so you should be ok there. Bogle I would do Petite Syrah or Merlot.

I would also pick up a Pinot Noir for someone who likes a lighter red. Villa Mt. Eden Pinot Noir is one of the best in the price point. Should be around $12.00

Hope that helps.

If you like Cline Zins, there's actually a bunch more they make including white wines. We carry Cline's Oakley Vin Blanc and Vin Rouge, Ancient Vines Mourvedre, Marsanne, and Syrah. We don't carry the Oakley Vin Gris, Viognier and Merlot. The Cline California Zinfandel is perennially a pleaser. It's a rich, very fruity Zin and it usually retails about $8 or $9.
