besides wine.com (which I find pricey), does anyone have any specific online wine retailers with huge selections that they like to recommend?

I still prefer using my local wine shop, but there are many wines out there that they just can't carry and, understandably, they prefer to sell their inventory rather than special order something and compete pricewise. Any online favorites?

In addition to Wine Expo (WineExpo@earthlink.com), and Is-Wine (www.is-wine.com); a.k.a. Roberto & Foodie, there are a few others worth looking into. For a huge selection of wines from all over, check out www.popswine.com. For a very large selection of Southern Hemisphere wine, check out www.southernwines.com.

Winex.com gets a lot of business from me, as does Wine Club, K&L, and Hi-Time.

Another one I forgot Rick is www.wadeswine.com He is in Simi Valley, and has an excellent collection of rare and hard to find, mostly upscale, stuff. His prices are below tasting room prices, and he provides free shipping within the State of California.

K&L recommended by Bucko seems to have good selection and pricing, particularly on specials. Living in California you have a lot of choices in shipping. You can also contact the vineyards for direct shipping.

K&L is a great place to find special old bottles for those once in a lifetime occasions, such as WW moving from your neighborhood...... party time!
