What grape is this wine made from? A friend of mine suggested I try a bottle but I like to know what it is first. Anybody?

Several white wines are produced in the Rhone. Among them are Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Marsanne, Piquepoul, Clairette, Picardan and Viognier. (Larousse, pg 244). Don't know what would go into a CdR Blanc, but maybe the grapes are listed on the bottle recommended by your friend.

I like Perrin Reserve Cotes du Rhone blanc. It's made of 50% Grenache Blanc, 20% Bourboulenc, and 10% Marsanne, Roussane, and Viognier. The Perrin's make another similar wine - their La Vieille Ferme white Cotes du Luberon made from Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Ugni Blanc. It costs a few dollars less, but both are very tasty on a hot summer day.
