is this wine good?

Looking through a box, I came across a 1958 red Barolo. Is this wine good?

The label is faded, but here is what I can see...The wine has not been stored properly and seems cloudier at the bottom than the top.

Hello David,

Welcome to the wineboard! The cloudyness at the bottom is to be expected with a wine that old. The wine actually begins to decompose and creates sediment.

Unfortunately, even if it was a spectacular year for Barolo, because it hasn't been stored with perfect conditions there is no market for resale and I would be really hesitant to drink it.

Know anyone born that year? Might be a neat display bottle.
