Could you tell me why some wine are stated "uncorked"? and some are not? and why do we need to cellar wines?

Hi Garfs and welcome to the board. Am not familiar with the term uncorked. As far as why you cellar wine, in a nutshell, wine is a living organism that must be protected from great temperature swings. For the best information for a novice buy the book " Wine for Dummies. WW
