Hi Mitchell and welcome to the board. In your neck of the woods you can find many of the fine wines of Oregon and Washintons' botique wineries. Quicelda Creek cab or Leonetti cab or merlot are probably available from your better merchants. Lots of great Pinots to choose from so see if you can find out this special recepients preference. If you can find any of the Marquis-Phillips line from Australia, purchase two of the #9 Shiraz for around $30. One for you and one for a gift. It should drink like a $75 wine. Another that will please is the '97 Gallo Frei Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon for around $25.
