I am desperately tryin to find the perfect wine gift for my boyfriends parents. I want to make sure that my soon to be in-laws are very pleased with my wine selection. I know they don't like reds because of the headache they're left with and have an affinity for Pinot Grigio. Any reccomendations as to a very good Pinot? Or any light white wine that they might enjoy?

Hi Erica, and welcome to the Wine Board. Recommend 2001 Bortoluzzi, Pinot Grigio, Isonzo Del Friuli ($13.99 locally). If they have it in Portland, ME, they might could have it in your neck of the woods too.

Luna Vineyards, Napa Valley, makes a very nice Pinot Grigio for around $18. (Do not confuse with Luna Di Luna).

Erica,

Drive down to Rt. 9 and go east until you get to Prospect St. in Framingham. That's between the shopping center with Staples and Trader Joe's and the one with Starbucks and Whole Foods. Next to Whole Foods is Warehouse Wine and Spirits and it's only a few miles from Marlboro - or Marlborough if you prefer. If you go in and ask, you can get a lot of help from one of the good folks there (I'm one of them). There's a huge selection of Pinot Grigios, and one is sure to be what you're looking for. (Shameless plug, guys. Sorry about that)

IMHO those who are in the trade, and still take the time to participate on this forum are entitled to an occasional plug, shameless or otherwise.

Well the shamless plug worked - I went to the Warehouse and was guided to what I was told and I'm sure is a wonderful pinot grigio gift. Thanks so much for the help! Now lets hope it gets me in good with the soon to be in laws.

Did you run across a troll lurking underneath the front door of Warehouse? That would be KCwhippet...the SHAMELESS Pinot Grigio man!
