Fat Bastard Shiraz?

I recently had a bottle of what was listed on the wine list at the restaurant I was eating as Fat Bastard Syrah (2000). However, when we received the bottle it said Fat Bastard [b]Shiraz[/b].

I then read the label and saw that it was bottled in Frace, so what gives? Is the label just a marketing ploy because of the popularity of Shiraz?
