Just popped this one. My first Spanish wine ever. It's a blended red, very fruity, almost sweet, 14% alc. simple, but really delicious! It reminds me of a good Chianti. About $8 a bottle. Is this typical of Spanish table wines? Also, anyone know what kind of grapes they use?

It is made primarily if not 100% from the Tempranillo grape, the one most frequently associated with Spanish Wine. Chianti is made primarily in a blend of the Sangiovese grape and others. Both are considered to be warm weather grapes/wines and thus have some common characteristics.
