I received a bottle of wine and I want to know if it's a "good" year, its value.

1981 Nozzole Bianco Toscan (White)

I am not familiar with this specific wine, but as a rule of thumb, the Italians (especially the Tuscans) don't really dig white wine.
There is some decent Pinot Grigio made in Toscano, but it is too warm for most whites. Chances are your bottle is toast.

Sorry. Zero value. An average quality wine that should have been drunk 15, 16 years ago.

I think mamacurious (and others who ask similar questions) need to know that, contrary to folk tale, an overwhelming majority of wines do not automatically increase in value with age.

In fact, if you want to make money investing in anything, or in that rare find in the basement, it likely will not be wine that fits the bill.
