I have recently entered into the world of wine. I am a novice when it comes time to wines. I am a 21 year old full-time college student, who just recently started to drink, and actually enjoy wine quite a bit, (of coarse not too much). My mother and father have supported my interest thus this far and have assisted me in the purchase of a few inexpensive bottles. I have now had the experience of tasting a select few of white and red wines. With the little knowledge that I have, my taste buds are the only thing attracting me to different wines? Shiraz in the red category is my first preference, I also enjoy Chianti with meat dinners. As far as white wine, I am sold on Luna Di Luna, (An Italian wine) a mix between Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. Again, I am a full-time student with a financial status at a bare-minimum, however, I wish to pursue my new venture into the world of wines and any suggestions or tips on how to gain more knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration!
Respectfully Yours,
Chad L. Brassel

Hi Chad, and welcome to the Wine Board. First off, like many young people do, just keep visiting this board. You will learn much. To give your knowledge a jump start you might read one of the excellent starter books on the market such as "Wine For Dummies." You are already further down the ole wine road than I was at your age. Of course that was when they were still jumping on grapes with bare feet.
