I never used to drink but I have recently discovered a taste for wine. I am picky, however, and find that I only care for wines which are sweet or semi-sweet, especially those that are light and fruity. My favorite dinner wine so far is amabile (I think that is the term) lambrusco. I also like tawny port and cream sherry. I would like to have recommendations for other wines that I might enjoy, if anyone cares to offer any.

I also have a specific question. My local grocery store carries an imported Riunite [sorry I didn't give the name before] Lambrusco. They also carry a Riunite called "D'Oro". Can anyone tell me about this wine? Thanks.

Please tell us who the producer is and someone might be able to help you. Thanks and welcome to the Wine Board!

Sherry and Port are fortified wines - additional alcohol is added to them - usually drunk as an aperatif or as a dessert wine.

You might also try Valpolicello from Italy or Beaujolais from France for reds or Reisling from Germany for a white wine.
