Hi! I'm writing this on behalf of my dad who is very keen on wine making and has done it for several years. His grape press is on it's last legs so's to speak and he wants to get a new one that doesn't cost the earth! Any suggestions would be most welcome!

cbenn, welcome to the board. I have several suggestions. The first is to inquire at the place he puchases the grapes. I know that they carry the presses where I buy mine. Another idea is to check with the store where he purchases the wine making supplies. They probably sell new ones or may know of a customer looking to part with an old one. Also, he could place a "wanted" classified ad in the local newspaper. With any luck, the ad will be seen by someone who has one they would like to get rid of. Good Luck!

Try e-bay. I looked up "wine press" and there were a few different ones. Not sure what shape they are in...
