Welcome to the board. Lambrusco, a bubbly wine from Italy, is one standard answer. Reunite Lambrusco can be found in many grocery stores, but in a wine shop you might find a higher quality (still inexpensive) Lambrusco. Greek Mavrodaphne is a sweet red wine. Some American vineyards in the Midwest and Eastern areas make sweet red wines. I like a red sparkling wine from Banfi, the Rosa Regale Brachetto d'Acqui, which tastes of strawberries and/or raspberries. I think it costs about $15 and is low in alcohol. Most red wines from well known varietals (cabernet sauvignon, merlot, sangiovese, nebbiolo, etc.) are dry wines. Some taste less dry due to young fruity aromas and flavors. These include Beaujolais Villages wines from France and the Cru Beaujolais such as Fleurie, Brouilly, Julienas. Hope this helps.

Thank You Wondersofwine. Very helpful. I picked up a few different ones to start with..Lindemans Bin 45 Cabernet Sauvignon(2001), 2 White Zins-both very inexpensive(Sutter Home and Beringer) and then I picked up a Blackberry Merlot...(Wild Vines) I will tell ya how I liked them. I will also try your suggestions. Thanks again...
