I was alerted to a problem with several forums today. They have been restored. I lost the last posting in each forum, however. So sorry. I have no way to recover them, so it would be great if you could check to see if your lastest posting is still there. If it's disappeared, please repost.

I've very sorry. I don't know what caused this. Strange.... I think it's the old ghost in the machine again.

Jackie

We lost Newsguy's return, and Foodie's post about his book on which there about 20 posts. Don't know what we lost on Beaujolais.

Jackie,

I'm no conspiracy theorist, but the coincidence was too, well, coincidental.

I advise you to turn HTML off--it is an avenue for people with programming knowledge to take down something on a Web site that makes them uncomfortable, usually about something they may have done or said.

Foodie, if that was the case wouldn't it be simpler to edit or delete your post?

GAD, the gremlins are very active now. Same thing happened to me yesterday.... couldn't log onto the board, couldn't post, whole threads disappeared..... it's still going on this morning. Jackie is aware and is working on the problems.

Perhaps GAD, but there's also the possibilty to try to confuse--draw attention away from the real deal.

I'm only speculating--from correlating two incidents--but I know there is a way for a server to identify if a particualr computer address logged on yesterday and maybe did some damage. this happened on Robin Garr's board once--Bucko can tell you about it.

Wow. I guess there must be more to the story. It's funny that someone would go to that kind of trouble here. I never saw anything that controversial.
