When making your second or subsequent edit to a posting you can delete the previous "This message has been edited by.........." messages. That way people won't know how stupid you are.

I do that all the time........ Cuz I usually edit a posting at least three or four times. Takes me that long to read what I've written just to make sure I've produced something reasonably intelligent. 'Sides, I have to take a lot of time making sure my lousy spelling is not too awfully lousy.....

The best way, I've found, to make sure that my written word has some meaning to it is to read my ramblings out-loud (to myself or to whomever will listen). If what I've written makes sense when spoken, then I usually allow it to stand.
