Hey KC, you seem to know much about the MA wine scene, maybe you could help me with this question. Why can't I find any BYOB restaurants in MA. I frequently am in RI and some of the best eating is in places where you bring your own. I would like to do the same here, but havn't found much. If anyone else has ideas, they would be appreciated too!!!

The reason they're hard to find is because MA ABCC regs don't allow BYOB in establishments with a liquor license. Technically their license is at risk if any place with one lets you BYOB. There are several fine restaurants here in the Worcester area without licenses that we frequent and bring our own wines. I've never checked out the restaurants in the Holyoke area so I couldn't make any recs there. You just have to search them out. Maybe the folks at Table & Vine might know of some.
