I'm visiting relatives in Owings Mills, MD and my brother in law and I just went to Beltway Fine Wines in Towson. Impressive shop. Supermarket size, knowledgeable and helpful staff, good selection (especially in the 7-20 dollar range), good prices. I focused on Rhones, Bordeaux, spanish, etc. that I don't see back in CA. Can't vouch for their advice since my case is packed to go back, but I expect to be pleased. If you're nearby check them out.

Woodsy, I've been to the Beltway Fine Wines many times and they do have a nice selection of recently released wines at fair prices but none of their salespersons, IMHO, know wine from beer. Also they have brands that are made specifically for the store under their own contrived labels that they push, and in my experience, those wines are plonk. Hope you did well on your,(their), selections.
