Convito Italiano. In addition to the well stocked Italian wine market, there is a contina with fabulous sandwiches, and a trattoria where you can sit down for lunch or dinner. Easiest way for those of you in area to get there is to exit the Ryan Expressway (I-94) at 35A (Lake Avenue). Take Lake Avenue east to Sheridan. Go north .7 miles, and they are on the left.

I needed some ricotta cheese for a recipe the other day, so I decided to take IK's recommendation and try Convito Italiano. It's a lovely store with a very good selection of Italian products. Their wine section is impressive, and they have tastings on a regular basis. Tomorrow night they're having a 35-wine tasting, but unfortunately I don't think I'm going to be able to make it. Anyway, thanks for the tip, Carl.

PS: The ricotta was good too.

Glad you made it up there Joe, and welcome back. Think you are the first one to take my advice of that. Makes me humble. Something that lots of folks think is needed.
