It doesn't look like much has happened yet on the planning for this get together of the WineBoard denizens. So, I guess I'll start it off. Because of many, many things happening in our lives, Judy and I can only make the trip if it's in July. Anytime before or after is way too full of other stuff, mainly Judy's trade show shedules. While it can be a bit on the warm side then, it doesn't compare to the 100+ time we spent last year in the Prosser area. We would really like to see as many of you folks as possible in Napa and Sonoma, so let's hear what you all have to say. Now's as good a time as any to start planning.

Would love to finally join one! As my schedule is so variable (It is not usual for me to get a call to change my travel destinations as I am waiting at the airport gates), so I will stay and watch this. I will come if I arrive

Looking forward to seeing the faces behind the key strokes....perhaps this is one of those times I need to be careful what I wish for???

I desperately want to attend but may not be able to afford to. Due to my mother's circumstances (selling her home and moving into a very nice retirement community) some interest on principal that was being distributed to my sister and me is now needed for living expenses for Mom. Therefore, I won't take an active part in the planning, but if I find I can attend, I will try to do so. (And I will be envious of those who attend and eager for your reports on the board).

Is this still going on? I would love to attend if it is open to beginners! I will be stationed in San Diego at the time.

No problem WEC. The offlines are open to all. At the one in the Finger Lakes, we not only had a novice or two, but one even brought her sister! Good time was had by all.

I would love to make it as well. My schedule is easy to move around so I should be able to make it any time.

Mayport is a nice area nowadays. We have I think a 900 series up here at Battleship Cove, the USS Joseph P Kennedy. We sometimes do weekend drill with the Sea Cadets up there. Man, the space on the DD's was pretty tight, that and those squeaky racks!

I am a blackshoe. Fire Controlman 1st Class. The Cole is in good shape. They have a nice memorial on the mess decks. I wanted to go somewhere that people would recognize.

Is it Napa/Sonoma for sure? Or we could possibly do Oregon wine country. I can probably arrange some good visits through work and setup some others as well through various contacts here.

Don't mean to be a lump on a log, but given my dh's work schedule, I can probably swing the cali visit- but doubtful on anywhere else.

Barnsey Napa/Sonoma is kinda' set io stone as the last offline was in the Wash area. As soon as the dates are decided I'm sure betwixt us we can get some fairly neat tastings. WW

I have a few contacts also in Napa/Sonoma, so we can really have a great time. When the dates are considered, don't forget, Judy and I are pretty much constrained to July.

My sister and I had a wonderful time in the Finger Lakes. This group makes everyone feel welcome! I highly recommend that if you can possibly attend, plan to do so.

So, who's going in July? Looks like the list as of now from what I see is:

The Eng II - Maybe
WoW - Maybe, but probably not
WileECoyote - Yes - how many?
tw - Yes - Also how many?
CG - Yes - one or two?
Barnesy - Maybe
Winoweenie - Yes, and I'll bet two
Me - Yes for two, and maybe one or two more

From the other thread:
CCK - Maybe
Bucko - Yes, and most likely not alone
