Visited some Puget Sound area Tasting rooms

I've been to Seattle many times now but have been unable to visit any wineries. I also do not know the area very well so it was difficult to just spend a few hours looking for wineries to visit.

So did the very tourist thing and headed up to Ch. Ste. Michelle which was located in Woodinville. It was located in the same area a many other wineries so I figured it would be a god place to spend an afternoon. I had expected that these wineries were in fact vineyards. I was wrong. They were all tasting rooms but it still beats work..

Wineries visited included:

(1) Chateau Ste Michelle
(2) Bryan Carter
(3) Dusted Valley Winery
(4) Airfield Winery

Of the four, I liked Dusted Valley winery the best, followed by Bryan Carter. But I wish I still saw some vineyards...I guess I'm gonna need more time and actually get out into the valley.

Looks like you missed GLM. Jenise, Robin Garr's "Dishwasher" thinks its the best in that area. They are all in her backyard.

I think it was "Wine Spectator" that had a recent article on Washington State wines. They mentioned that a number of tasting rooms and vinting facilities are located in Western Washington (Seattle and Woodinville area) but source grapes from the Columbia Valley or other locations east of the Cascade range. Some of the wine producers just plain choose to live near the big city of Seattle rather than in Walla Walla or Prosser or such.
