I have started a batch of watermelon wine it has been going for nine days now but after abpit 5 days I noticed the odor of alchol was very strong. On the day 7 I decided to taste it and it had a very strong alchol taste more like a whiskey.I would like to know what I need to do or if their is anything I can do to save it. Also why did it take off like that. I've made wine a couple of times but never had this problem before can anyone help.

Welcome to Wine Board BBB. Moved you here to get a better chance of a response. Can't promise it as most folks around here are pretty much into grape wine.
