Hi out there,
I have a question about red current and wine making.
When you pick the berries from the bush the part holding the berries usually follow the berries down into the bowl. How important is it to get rid of all these before the fermentation? What will be the effect?

Sorry, RC, but there are very few home winemakers on this board, and even fewer that ferment something other than grapes, so an accurate answer may be difficult to come by. Try asking at the store where you buy your winemaking supplies.
