wedding shower gift

I'd like to buy a co-worker some decent wine glasses as a shower gift. I looked at the ones offered at the Wine Lovers' Gift Shop at this site, but there are several styles from which to choose. What would you suggest for a starter set? Something that could be used with more than one type of wine.

The so-called Bordeaux-cabernet glass in 16 oz is probably the best general purpose quality stem.

tough to beat the Spiegelau for QPR:

usually find these around 6 bucks apiece. I use the Riedel Vinums but the Spiegelaus are hard to beat considering the price...
