Interestingly, the current editions of WS W&S arrived on the same day. Both had reports on the Southern Hemisphere 2000 harvest. Checked out Argintine and Mendoza in particular right away. WS says, "The Mendoza region, which accounts for 70 percent of Argentina's vinyards, had success with Merlot and Malbec from Maipo and San Rafael." W&S says, "The harvest was a bit more difficult in Argentina, especially in Mendoza, where more than 70 percent of Argentine wine is produced. ....estimates that production dropped 20 percent in the Upper Mendoza area." Guess you can't edit titles; sorry.
