Hello Yukidama, and welcome to the Wine Board. In my humble opinion the term "cheap Tokaj wines" in an oxymoron.

You should try some sweet dessert wines from the Burgenland region of Austria. It's just across the border and, in the case of the Ruster Ausbruch wine from the town of Rust, is made in the same production method as a tokaj.

Look for wines from Feiler-Artinger and Wenzel.

Enjoy!

Good alternative suggestions from winemonger--good Tokaj wines just aren't cheap. But then, neither are many Austrian dessert wines, or any good dessert wines. It is an expensive winegrowing and producing process to make dessert wine.

an other alternative is the new shop of a person who sold wines on ebay.

http://www.tokajneum.com

there is only one problem! the site is completely in german, but you're able to submit an english newsletter.

enjoy the site
