My daughter somehow got on Duckhorn's mailing list and just got a mailing offering 6 bottles of 1999 Paraduxx. She wanted to know if I wanted any at $40 per. Though I've heard of Paraduxx, I've never tried it and wondered if anyone out there has any TN's or thoughts on it. I checked the Duckhorn website and got their slant on it but they don't offer any production figures or national availability. Since I work in a wine shop, I can get a hefty discount if it's available, which guess I can check on tomorrow when I go into work. I just wondered if it was even worth the effort.

I've had the 96 and 97 Paraduxx. Mostly Zinfandel, this blend is delicious! I don't know if I would be a buyer of many bottles at retail, but if you can get these at a "hefty" discount, I would surely recommend giving it a go...

Just to compare palates, I tend to like dark, rich, spicey zins with good acidity and some tannin support with lasting finishes (Hmmm, pretty generic description)
