Hi
I need to find out where you can order, either via the internet or via telephone or whatever, a specific Hungarian Wine which is called Matralja Wine. It is a red wine which is a light and fruity wine.

Please help

Lisa

Hi

Does this mean no-one can help me find my Matralja wine?

I hope that you all don't give up that easily as I have been told that you are the only ones that can help. Surely someone knows where you can buy this wine!!!

Please help

Lisa

Sounds like you need to do a little footwork yourself. I'd start with a local merchant who can access his supply sources.

FYI:

The Eger and Mátra region are situated in the north and northeastern part of the country.
Some vineyards can be found in the young Bükk region as well.

Blue grapes are grown mainly in the Eger region with a 50% being Kékfrankos, 25% Zweigelt as well as a part of Oportò, Merlot and Cabernet. The white grapes originate from the Mátra region, where mainly Chardonnay, Olazrizling, Muscat and Traminer grapes are grown.

I knew I'd seen this somewhere before. It was posted by Innkeeper a while ago in the NOVICE Forum of the Wine Board.

Check this web site (I have not):

http://www.wdwines.com/

or this one:

http://www.kertnet.hu/corvinum/index_a.htm

The first web site I mentioned may no longer be valid. I've been trying to log on all night but to no avail.

The second web site has an email address you could use to enquire about your wine.

If I read your homeland correctly, you are in England. There used to be a fine Hungarian restaurant in London, near the financial district, I believe. If it still remains, maybe the restaurant proprietor can help you.

Well! Lisa, To bad you dont live in the USA as I am able to get this wine you speak of. We (my Co.) has been stocking it for years for our customers and it is actually the most popular fruity red we stock.

My e-mail: IntWBrokers@yahoo.com

FYI: I am a wine broker/consultant
