This was a gift, so I don't know the price, but I know that it's an appelation in the southwest.
Clear, garnet color. Aromas of vanilla, black fruit and a bit of oak. Cassis flavor with honey on the finish. A little short on tannin, and I was expecting some earth and mineral flavors, but there wasn't much present that I could detect. Overall an easy drinker but nothing special. Tannat & cabernet franc.
